We celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary this weekend. The weather has been beautiful.
We took a walk through the sculptural garden along Elliot Bay, looking out toward the Puget Sound.
A HUGE cruise ship was leaving the bay, probably heading up to Alaska.
We walked to a gem of an Italian restaurant that we discovered last June when we took a trip up here to see if moving to Seattle was even a remote possibility. We had such a wonderful time at Altura that night. The food was amazing and the people working there graciously allowed us to pick their brains about the pros and cons of the city. By the end of the night, we had decided that the move was a possibility and Capitol Hill was the neighborhood we wanted to live in. Almost a year later we were moving into a home just a mile from our favorite restaurant.
The meal last night was spectacular.
It is a small, beautifully quaint restaurant. Exceptional ingredients. The kitchen is part of the restaurant, so if you sit at the counter you get to watch four very skilled, focused chefs prepare the meals. Love it! There isn’t any better entertainment for the two of us.
